About This Service

Calgary’s Trusted Property Maintenance Experts

A beautiful yard doesn't maintain itself. All The Moore Landscaping offers residential property maintenance that keeps everything you've invested in looking sharp through every season. Whether you want a one-time spring cleanup after a long Calgary winter or a full recurring maintenance program that covers you all season, we do the work properly, on schedule, and with the same care you'd expect from any project we build.

Calgary's seasons are hard on landscapes. Spring brings snowmelt debris, broken branches, and garden beds that need to be cleared and prepared. Summer demands consistent lawn care, edging, and attention to garden beds before weeds get ahead of you. Fall means leaves, cutting back perennials, final mulch application, and preparing everything for freeze-up. Each season has its own rhythm, and we keep your property in step with it.

Options & Materials

Property Maintenance Services We Offer

01

Spring Cleanup

Calgary's spring cleanup season typically runs from late April through May. Our spring cleanup service covers removal of winter debris and dead plant material, edge cleanup along beds and walkways, pruning back winter-damaged shrubs, the first mow and edge of the season, and a general tidy of the entire property. We can add mulch refresh as part of the spring visit. Spring cleanup is our most booked service and spots fill quickly, so booking in advance is strongly recommended.

02

Fall Cleanup

Fall cleanup prepares your yard for a Calgary winter. This includes clearing fallen leaves before they mat and smother your lawn, cutting back perennials and ornamental grasses, pulling dead annuals, final edging and cleanup of garden beds, and applying mulch to insulate plant roots. A properly done fall cleanup means your yard comes out of winter in much better condition and requires less work in spring.

03

Lawn Mowing and Edging

Lawn mowing service is available on weekly and bi-weekly schedules during Calgary's growing season. Every visit includes mowing at the appropriate height for the season (we raise the cut in hot, dry periods to reduce water stress), string-trimming around obstacles and beds, and blowing clippings off hard surfaces. Consistent mowing at the right height is the single most impactful thing for lawn health, and we take it seriously.

04

Garden Bed Weeding and Maintenance

Keeping garden beds clean through the growing season requires regular attention. We offer standalone weeding visits and include bed maintenance as part of recurring maintenance programs. Consistent weeding before weeds go to seed is far less work than trying to recover a bed that has been neglected for half a season. We also monitor the health of your plants during bed maintenance visits and flag anything that needs attention.

05

Mulch Refresh and Application

Mulch breaks down over the season and needs to be refreshed annually or bi-annually to maintain an effective weed-suppressing and moisture-retaining layer. We offer standalone mulch refresh services in spring (and fall for added root insulation), including sourcing, delivery, and installation of the right quantity and type of mulch for your beds. Refreshing mulch is one of the highest-value low-cost maintenance investments for a Calgary garden.

06

Shrub and Hedge Pruning

Most ornamental shrubs and hedges in Calgary benefit from annual or bi-annual pruning to maintain their shape, encourage healthy growth, and prevent them from overgrowing walkways and windows. Timing and technique vary significantly by species. We prune each plant at the right time and in the right manner for its growth habit, which means healthier, better-looking plants over the long term.

Why All The Moore

Why Calgary Homeowners Choose Us for Property Maintenance

Same Quality as Our Installation Work

We treat maintenance with the same standards as our construction and installation projects. Edges are sharp, corners are clean, and we don't rush through a property just to get to the next one. We understand that maintenance is how your landscape investment stays protected over time, and we work accordingly.

We Know What We're Looking At

Because we also install landscapes, we understand every element on your property. We know what a healthy garden bed looks like versus one that's developing a problem. We notice drainage issues, plant stress, and maintenance needs that a standard lawn crew would mow past. You get informed eyes on your property with every visit.

Reliable Scheduling You Can Count On

Nothing is more frustrating than a maintenance service that shows up randomly or skips visits without notice. We schedule maintenance programs on a reliable cadence and communicate proactively when weather or other factors affect timing. Recurring clients get priority scheduling and consistent crews who know their property.

Flexible Programs That Fit Your Needs

Not every property needs the same scope of maintenance. Some clients want full-service programs that cover everything. Others want specific services like spring and fall cleanups with seasonal mulch refresh. We build programs around what you actually need, and we adjust as your property and preferences evolve.

Proactive Communication

If we notice something on your property that needs attention beyond the scheduled work, we tell you. A dying tree, a drainage issue developing in the lawn, a section of fencing that is starting to lean. We communicate proactively rather than waiting for you to notice. This is how a maintenance relationship should work, and it's what we deliver.

Fully Insured on Every Visit

All The Moore Landscaping carries full liability insurance, so you have complete peace of mind when we're working on your property. An uninsured crew means you are potentially holding liability for any incident that occurs during service. We carry proper insurance because it's how a professional operation runs, and we're happy to provide proof of coverage.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer recurring maintenance programs?
Yes. We offer weekly and bi-weekly recurring maintenance programs customized to your property. These programs can include any combination of lawn mowing, bed maintenance, edging, mulch refresh, shrub pruning, and seasonal cleanups. Recurring programs are flexible and we adjust scope with the seasons. Clients on recurring programs receive priority scheduling, which matters during high-demand periods like spring cleanup season.
What does a spring cleanup include?
Our standard spring cleanup includes: removal of all winter debris and dead plant material from lawn and garden beds, cutting back perennials that weren't cut in fall, edge cleanup along all beds and walkways, pruning back any winter-damaged shrubs, the first mow and trim of the season, and a final blow-down of all hard surfaces. We can add mulch refresh as part of the spring visit. Spring cleanup pricing is based on the size and current condition of your property, and we provide a quote in advance.
Do you do one-time cleanups without a recurring program?
Absolutely. One-time spring and fall cleanups are among our most popular services and no recurring commitment is required. We schedule these in advance (spring spots fill quickly so early booking is recommended) and price them based on the scope and condition of the property. Many clients start with a one-time cleanup and move to a recurring program after experiencing the difference a properly maintained yard makes.
How often should I have my lawn maintained in Calgary?
For most Calgary properties, bi-weekly mowing during the active growing season from May through September provides a well-maintained appearance without over-mowing. During peak growth in June and July, weekly mowing may be appropriate. During hot, dry July and August periods, we adjust mowing height upward to reduce stress on the lawn. We assess your specific property and lawn type when setting up a maintenance program and recommend the right frequency.
When should I book spring cleanup in Calgary?
As early as possible. Spring cleanup is our highest-demand service period and we typically fill our spring calendar by March. If you want your property cleaned up as soon as the ground is clear (usually late April to early May), booking in advance is the only way to guarantee your spot. We take deposits to hold spring bookings and confirm timing as conditions become clear.
What does fall cleanup include and when should it happen?
Fall cleanup in Calgary ideally happens in October before ground freeze. Our fall cleanup includes: full leaf clearing from lawn and beds (matted leaves left over winter can damage lawn and smother perennials), cutting back perennials and ornamental grasses, pulling spent annuals, final bed edging, and a general property tidy. We can also apply a final layer of mulch as part of the fall visit to insulate plant roots through winter. Getting the fall cleanup done before freeze-up makes a significant difference in how your property comes out of winter.
Do you do commercial property maintenance?
Our focus is residential properties in Calgary and surrounding communities. For smaller commercial properties such as small office buildings or professional service businesses with modest outdoor spaces, reach out and describe your property. We take on commercial maintenance on a case-by-case basis when it's a good fit for our schedule and capabilities.
Can you maintain a landscape that you didn't install?
Yes. A significant portion of our maintenance clients have landscapes installed by others, or properties that came with existing gardens and lawns. We assess the existing landscape during a walkthrough before setting up a maintenance program so we understand what's there and how to care for it properly. If there are elements that need improvement, we'll note them and discuss options, but maintenance programs can absolutely cover existing landscapes.
